Volunteering at the Bee-You Foundation

My mom, little brother, and I volunteered to help our friend run her first event under her nonprofit; the Bee-You Foundation. Their mission is to help families fund extracurricular classes, electives, or anything else a charter school would pay for.

It was a small event. Only 5 vendors and a smaller crowd. But for their first ever event? Success.

We were there from 8am to 4pm, helping set up tables, prepare games, decorate, and tear it all down after the event. My role was to oversee the games set out for the kids of the parents that came to check out the vendors and the foundation. Jenga was the most popular by far.

Overall? Fun. A lot of downtime. I got to spend a lot of time with my little brother, and play a lot of Jenga.
