going on a walk to see some Amanita Muscaria

the day before Thanksgiving, I went on a walk with my cousins to a nature preserve that has a bunch of Amanita Muscaria mushrooms growing in it.

the biggest one we could find. probably 11 inches in diameter

They aren't hard to find. Big, bright red caps only a few feet off the dirt path.

the smallest one we could find! around 3 inches diameter

These mushrooms have hallucinogenic affects, some theories linking them to early traditions that have influenced modern day Christmas. I strongly recommend reading about them. I enjoyed this article.
